Returning and exchanging clothes

Need to return or exchange a gift that doesn’t quite fit or is the wrong size? Teach your beginner ESL students the basic vocabulary related to returning or exchanging clothes in a clothing store.

Following a recipe: Making Christmas shortbread

Teach your beginner ESL students basic recipe vocabulary, using the example of Christmas shortbread.

This lesson plan offers warm-up activities (including a short video) as well as skill-building and assessment tasks.

Students will learn some cooking verbs and ingredients, follow recipe instructions, and learn about the mix of measurements used in Canada.

Finally, students can share festive recipes from their own cultures.
