Activities include vocabulary building, listening and reading exercises, a short video, and role plays. Cultural discussions highlight differences in small talk expectations. The class encourages full sentence responses and reflection on personal experiences.

This lesson plan for your beginner ESL students teaches the basic vocabulary for making a doctor’s appointment, particularly over the phone. The lesson includes skill-building and practice activities, video and audio activities, as well as role plays and comprehension tasks.

What’s new: Week of Jan. 13/25

This lesson plan teaches CLB Stage I students the names of the winter clothing needed to stay warm during a Canadian winter.

Activities include vocabulary-building tasks, interactive discussions, and assessments to enhance understanding of appropriate winter clothing. Students also discuss the safety aspects of keeping warm.
