Week of Mar. 3/25

This lesson plan will help your more advanced beginner students practice basic vocabulary needed for a routine check-up with an eye doctor.

Lesson plan activities include warm-up questions, skill-building tasks, video and other role plays, and review exercises. Students will also understand the difference between optometrists and opticians, and how eye care fits into the Canadian health system.

What’s new: Week of July 22/24

Three new lesson plans aim to teach your beginner ESL students the vocabulary for real-world medical appointments. The lessons cover making appointments on the phone, checking in with the receptionist at the doctor’s office, and having an annual check-up. Each lesson plan includes vocabulary exercises, role plays, discussion questions, and short videos. Links to the videos are provided for further practice.
