This new lesson plan on visiting the eye doctor includes opening and closing discussion questions, vocabulary flashcards, and a “listen and read” role play. Also included are comprehension questions and other vocabulary practice activities. You’ll also find a few helpful resources to external related sites.

What’s new: Week of Mar. 25/24
The updated “Create digital ESL resources for beginners” page includes some free digital-friendly websites I use to create lessons for my beginner ESL students (CLB 1-4). These sites include vocabulary flashcards and other vocabulary activities, video and audio resources, games, free image sites, annotated maps and virtual tours, and AI activity creators. These tools have been useful in my beginner ESL classes.
What’s new: Week of Mar. 18/24
During a new lesson plan, “Canadian income taxes,” your students will learn about
common tax-related words and phrases and the basic process of filling in a Canadian tax form. Pair this lesson with another recently added lesson plan, “Where do your Canadian taxes go?,” which outlines why and how taxes are collected and spent.
