Following a recipe
Fall is almost here — time to get back into making soups and stews! Use the “Following a recipe” lesson plan to teach your beginning ESL students the basic vocabulary needed to follow a recipe for making vegetable soup.
Your students will learn the difference between recipe ingredients and instructions (and will also learn some common cooking verbs, such as chopping, pouring, stirring, etc.). This lesson plan includes a short video and a variety of vocabulary practice exercises (including audio activities).
